Well, it's official. I received an e-mail today that the Gazette now offers a digital subscription.
"Thank you all for participating in the Wellsboro Gazette online. We are proud to say that the E-edition, digital paper version, of the Wellsboro Gazette is ready to begin. You should be able to subscribe to it online today. As part of the improvement, registration for the message boards will no longer be necessary. The account you created will be deleted, but you will still be able to post messages. If you are a current print subscriber, your free subscription to the digital edition can be easily accessed. Just log in with your account number (found on your renewal card) as a name and your last name, capitalized, as the password. Thank you for your patience and support."
Well, I told Jason I would subscribe in an instant if he ever got them to do this, so I did my duty and subscribed to a 6 month subscription for $25. I don't think that's a bad price, it's about $5 off the newstand price. They have a year subscription for $45 or a 3 month subscription for a lesser price (I can't seem to get back to that page.) I just logged in to check it out and it looks like I (or they) may have gotten ahead of themselves. Currently, the April 22nd edition has great news of "PDF Demo Page 1" and "PDF Demo Page 2". Once I saw that, I promptly e-mail Jason and am awaiting a reply. I'll have more info when I hear back.
