Mansfield's Fabulous 1890's Weekend is fast approaching, September 25 and 26, 2009.  The 1890's weekend takes you back in time to the world's first night football game played by Mansfield Univeristy at Smythe Park on September 28, 1892.  The festival has greatly expanded over the last few years and includes two days of entertainment, crafts food and music. 

Some of the activities they have going on are a recreation of the world's first night football game, a motorless parade, food, crafts, gift items, tethered hot air balloon rides, 1890's Museum, Queen Competition, and firework.  Definitly worth checking out.
